Recolight lamp-recycling scheme reports major success over its two years

Recolight, the specialist WEEE compliance scheme for gas discharge lamps, has been responsible for funding the recycling of over 50 million such lamps in the two years since it was set up. Nigel Harvey, the company’s chief executive, says, ‘Recolight is arguably responsible for recycling more items of WEEE than any other UK compliance scheme.

‘As the UK’s only specialist lamp compliance scheme, our success can be attributed to our commitment to increasing lamp recycling. We are continually looking at ways to increase recycling rates and raise awareness of the need to recycle. Our growing collection network is testament to our success.’
