Hitachi claims high efficiency for air-conditioning units

Hitachi claims EERs of 6.0 and COPs of 6.13 for its S-Series RAS SX8 range of room air-conditioning units. Noise levels are down to 20 dB(A), and the indoor units can destroy airborne bacteria to create a healthier environment. They can provide heating and cooling from 2.5 to 5 kW.

The Real Dry function on the indoor units sets RH in the room from 40 to 70% in 5% increments. This function’s ‘house-sitter’ mode controls humidity, with Real Dry running automatically if RH reaches 70%.

The micro-mesh stainless-steel filter is cleaned automatically when air-conditioning operation has ended. Dust is removed from the filter and collected in a dust box.

These units are compatible with H-Link control. They can also be connected to a PCS-6RAD adapter and include a hard-wired remote controller with 7-day timer.
