ICS wins Rothschild’s controls contract

ICS is responsible for the BMS in the new headquaters of Rothschild's in the City of London

Integrated Control Systems has won the contract to design and install the building-management system for the new headquarters building of Rothschild’s merchant bank in the City of London. A £670 000 shell-and-core project that will also incorporate a number of fit-out elements will involve building nine form-three motor-control centres and 16 network panels for the 25 network controller s distributed around the 14-storey 70 m-tall building.

As part of its requirement at this stage to take care of all landlord’s plant, ICS has designed BMS architecture that provides interface between central services at each floor level capable of supporting all Rothschild’s future needs.

New Court has 13 000 m2 of top-quality office accommodation on 10 flexible floors linked to three annexes and is being built on a site in St Swithen’s Lane.

It will include special facilities for the Rothschild archive. At the top of the building, above the central cube, will be a distinctive ‘sky pavilion’ — a multi-functional panorama room with views across the city — that will incorporate a translucent image of the nearby St Stephen Walbrook Church.

ICS was awarded the contract by Stanhope.
