Actuators provide close control of underfloor heating

SAV Systems, underfloor heating, actuators

A range of electro-thermal actuators from SAV Systems is designed for the accurate and energy-efficient control of underfloor heating systems. These units have low power consumption (1.8 W) and are the fourth generation of actuators developed in Germany by controls specialist Mohlenhoff, for which SAV is UK distributor.

These OEM actuators will integrate with nearly all valves and manifolds on the market and modulate the flow of warm water through individual underfloor heating loops in response to the zone thermostat.

They have specially designed plug and cable connections to the wiring centre, with protection against water penetration.

A ‘first open’ function enables each heating circuit to be checked before power supplies are connected. This function automatically disengages after the first operation of the actuator.

They can be installed in any position, with full protection against leaks or sprayed water ensured by the patented sealed construction to IP54.
