Buderus expands control options for boilers

Buderus, boiler, control

Buderus has expanded its 4000 series of energy-management controls for boilers to meet new environmental legislation and the growing demand for renewables. The new modules enable the intelligent integration of Buderus with virtually any renewable heating plant — such as heat pumps, CHP, biomass and solar.

This range of controls is said to provide more effective control of heating and DHW than a separate boiler-management system and for a fraction of the expenditure. They can also interface with an existing BMS or be used to upgrade a BMS with additional modules where two or more boilers need to be sequenced.

The 4000 control system can be extended at any time with the addition of factory pre-programmed modules as the heating needs of an installation change. All modules are plug-and-play. A removable handset enables controls to be programmed off site and clicked into place when configured.
