Glow-worm tops EST endorsement list

No fewer than 41 models of Glow-worm boilers have been endorsed by the Energy Saving Trust in its recently revised scheme for gas and LPG boilers — which Glow-Worm claims is more than any other manufacturer. Katie Cope, brand manager with the company, says that of 74 natural-gas boilers and 32 LPG boilers on the EST list, 26 natural-gas and 15 LPG boilers are from Glow-worm.

The requirements for the revised EST list include SEDBUK Band A, standby electricity consumption of not more than 10 W and a keep-hot facility that can be timed by the user.

‘This result has a number of benefits for us.’ says Katie Cope. ‘It allows Glow-worm appliances to be accepted on contract specification and tenders for new build and local authorities which require EST endorsement.’
