Providing discreet protection for plant rooms in a new business park are custom-designed louvres from Colman.

Discreet and weatherproof protection for plant room in the roofs of two buildings on St Ives Business Park in Cambridgeshire is provided by custom-built louvres from Colman. S.i. One (1660 m2) and S.i. Two (1950 m2) form part of a £10 million prestigious office project by Endurance Estates. The 14 000 m2 mixed-use business park in a lakeside setting comprises two headquarters-style buildings built to the highest specifications, with a BREEAM environmental rating.

Colman’s W series of external louvres were used to provide 377 m of louvres. Three banks of louvres were used for the plant rooms, with two more banks for ground-level loading bays.

These louvres can be integrated into new and existing buildings, cladding systems, brick or stonework. Different blade profiles and blade pitches are available to meet particular needs. Special features include anti-cascade traps, visible or discreet framing, bird mesh, insect guards and door units. Colour finishes to RAL and BS ranges are available.
