Flakt Woods, heat recovery, AHU, air handling unit

Flakt Woods has extended its range of heat-recovery products for air-distribution systems. The e3co-HR range offers thermal efficiencies of up to 93% and specific fan powers as low as 0.45. These units also incorporate low-loss high-performance filters. Overall, energy savings up to 85% can be achieved.

All units in the range are designed to be standalone plug-and-play devices that can operate independently or be added to an existing HVAC system.

The use of e3 intelligent controls can regulate airflow based on demand. Other control options include simple manual speed control right up to fully programmable control supported by a wide range of sensors for parameters such as temperature, CO2, VOC, humidity, PIR etc.

There are five product families providing airflow up to 3.3 m3/s against pressures up to 800 Pa.

All units have a cross-flow plate heat exchanger with aluminium or polypropylene core, a G4 grade filter in the exhaust air and an F7 grade filter in the supply side.
