Energy-efficient ventilation that complies with Part F of the Building Regulations will be provided for buildings constructed using the Mantle Building System by Vent-Axia’s Sentinel Kinetic system.

Vent-Axia has entered into a partnership with Mantel Panel that will see Vent-Axia’s Lo Carbon Sentinel Kinetic mechanical ventilation with heat recovery specified for new-build properties and light commercial projects using the Mantel Building System. This ventilation and building system will offer air-tight buildings that comply with Part F of the Building Regulations.

Gary Littlechild, director with Mantle Panel, explains, ‘The objectives of the Mantle Building System are to provide a thermally efficient and structural solution that is fast, cost-effective, green and safe. Its simplicity and flexibility make it applicable across the entire construction industry spectrum. Consequently, we sought out an MVHR provider to complement our objectives and applicability.’

Lee Nurse, marketing director at Vent-Axia, says, ‘This strategic partnership will help both companies grow and prosper, we are looking forward to a strong and successful relationship.’

For new-build properties, the Sentinel Kinetic is installed as a whole-house multi-room ducted solution, combining supply and extract in one unit. Air is extracted from ‘wet’ rooms through ducting and passed through the heat exchanger to warm incoming air before being exhausted to the outside. The heat exchanger can recover up to 90% of the energy that would otherwise be lost. The product is listed in SAP Appendix Q.
