Cool-Therm secures AHU distribution deal

Cool-Therm, Clima Tech, AHU, air handling unit

Cool-Therm now offers a range of high-tech high-efficiency air-handling units in the UK following an agreement with Austrian company Clima Tech. Cool-Therm offers both standard and bespoke systems, with the emphasis on high quality and premium performance, for applications such as hospitals, leisure centres, commercial buildings and retail developments.

Energy recovery is a key option, and Clima Tech uses a rotating wheel with an air-permeable aluminium matrix with a very large interior surface. These wheels can recover just sensible heat or both sensible and latent heat.

There are some 17 standard sizes with capacities for up to 120 000 m3/h for cooling and 210 000 m3/h for heating and ventilation only.

Air-treatment options include circulating, filtering, heating, cooling, humidifying, dehumidifying and mixing.

The frame construction makes it possible to break down units and reassemble them on site if access is difficult.
