Hotel air conditioning without disruption

Powrmatic, air conditioning, condenserless
Condenserless heat-pump air conditioners at a hotel in Nottingham require just two wall penetrations (see picture below).

Comfort cooling and heating for rooms in the new Nottingham Belfry Hotel are provided by Powrmatic Vision 2.3 condenserless heat-pump air conditioners. This project for the QHotels Group has benefited from the ease and speed of the Vision 2.3 to ensure there was no downtime of the rooms.

The Nottingham Belfry is an ultra-modern 120-room conference hotel with stylish contemporary interiors in public spaces and rooms.

Rob Reeves, M&E consultant to QHotels, explains, ‘We installed 45 units in under two weeks whilst still having the rooms occupied. They are simple to install and extremely quiet.’

The first phase of the air-conditioning installation by Clover Technical Solutions involved fitting Vision 2.3 units at low level in 45 rooms. Work was carried out between 10 am and 4 pm.

Vision 2.3 units are to be installed in the remaining rooms of the Nottingham Belfry and in other QHotels in a 3-year re-fit programme. Where existing wet heating systems are being replaced, the Vision 2.3 LTHW model will be installed.
