Building-services specialist JS Wright, based in Birmingham, has marked its 125th anniversary this year by becoming the official sponsor of rising local boxing star Tommy Langford. This 26-year-old middleweight has notched up 14 straight wins without losing a single round since turning professional in 2012. He is currently fifth in the world rankings.

He is signed to top boxing promoter Frank Warren and recently successfully defended his WBO Intercontinental title against Argentine champion Christian Fabian Rios.

Marcus Aniol, managing director of J S Wright said, ‘We are proud and delighted to be able to sponsor such a rising local star in his quest to become a world champion.

‘Just as our business has taken off in a spectacular way over the past five years, so too has Tommy’s career, and the qualities of skill, judgment and commitment that he shows in the ring are what our people demonstrate on site every day.’
