Little Britain regatta is plain sailing for MITIE team

Little Britain regatta is plain sailing for MITIE team MITIE swept the board in the 21st construction-industry sailing regatta Little Britain. The company won in its class the Contractor’s Cup, the Tarkett Sommer Trophy and the Little Britain Challenge Cup and became the overall winner at Little Britain this year. Skipper Nick Jones says, ‘The crew gelled as a race team; they worked hard at every detail of every race. A great example was the last race, when they were pushed into second place by Blue Max, they came back determined to win. They worked hard continuously trimming the sails and never giving up. They just raced and stayed focused.’ A substantial sum for charity was raised at this year’s regatta, taking the overall amount raised since the event began in 1988 to over £1 million.
