Flakt Woods launches complete new range of air-handling units

Flakt woods

Flakt Woods has launched a new range of air-handling units to replace the established EU range.

The new eQ range is available in 17 sizes with airflows from 0.1 to 9 m3/s. The range covers applications from single-supply units to integrated solutions with heat recovery and advanced controls. Clever design and a dedicated supply chain means that eQ can meet the needs of the most urgent projects.

This range of AHUs conforms to CEN air-tightness Class L2 (Class B) and is certified by Eurovent.

Bespoke control equipment has been developed to simplify project planning, installation and operation. The integrated control equipment is supplied complete with all necessary field components, programmed, configured and tested — for small installations with simple control functions up to larger plant with data-communications requirements.

The control platform supports communication via an open standard protocol (OPC, BACnet, LonWorks or Modbus) to enable simple and cost-effective integration with building-automation systems. The air-handling unit is connected to other systems by the system integrator.

The control system uses one of the most powerful digital controllers on the market. Its capabilities include temperature control, fan-speed control for constant duct pressure or constant flow, CO2 control, control of different types of heat exchanger, energy measurement, control of up to four extra fans and control of up to four temperature zones.
