All smiles at Prima Dental with the help of AmbiRad

AmbiRad, Radiant Heating
Advanced radiant heating from AmbiRad provides effective and energy-efficient heating for the workshop of Prima Dental in Gloucester.

To provide effective heating for its workshop in Gloucester and minimise carbon emissions, Prima Dental has installed top-of-the-range Vision Herringbone burners from AmbiRad. Prima Dental has 150 years’ experience in the design and manufacture of dental equipment and specialises in a wide range of products for use globally in dentists’ drills.

Heating contractor and consultant MIH installed 14 Vision Herringbone burners, evenly spread to provide a good distribution of heat. Installed with a discreet air intake and flue system, the installation minimised penetrations of the roof structure and membrane.

The high operational efficiency and excellent radiant performance of these heaters make possible fuel savings of up to 65%. They qualify for Enhanced Capital Allowances. In addition, NOx emissions can be up to 40% lower than conventional radiant heating systems.

The installation is controlled by an AmbiRad SmartCom system.

Features of these burners include internal turbulators to direct flue gases onto the radiant surfaces for greater efficiency, state-of-the-art heat-exchangers and a highly efficient burner with a long flame for more even heat distribution.
