Sensor evaluates potential of presence-controlled lighting

Steinel, lighting, presence control

Steinel offers a device that can calculate the energy savings that could be achieved if presence detectors were installed to control lighting. ProLog devices can be positioned easily and unobtrusively below the ceiling at various points in a building to record in detail the use of lighting over a month-long period — including when it is left on unnecessarily and energy wasted.

Software uses this data to provide an accurate projection of energy savings that could be achieved over one, three or 10 years if presence detectors were to be installed.
