Remeha boosts heating performance for MG Motors

Remeha boilers have replaced centralised steam plant at MG to deliver more efficient space heating.

Remeha Commercial high-performance boilers are delivering more efficient heating for the headquarters of MG Motor UK at its Longbridge headquarters in Birmingham. The existing centralised steam plant was inefficient, wasteful and costly to run. On the advice of EGP Building Services, MG decided to replace the centralised system with a number of local plant rooms and two air-handling units.

Pete Clarke of EGP explains, ‘After considering the heat output required, the size of the area where the boilers were to be installed, the need for the highest-available levels of efficiency and how easy the boilers are to install, we recommended using Remeha boilers throughout.’

A Quinta 115 boiler provides heating for one end of the extensive SAIC Motor Technical Centre building, with a Gas 310 Eco boiler feeding an AHU heating coil at the other end. More 310 Eco boilers have been installed in the conference centre and the sales centre.
