Honeywell races off to good start in new season

Honeywell, controls

Heating and plumbing Neil Plimmer has secured another podium win in the first race of the 2012 Fun Cup Championship driving a Honeywell-sponsored car. As driver and winner of the 2011 championship Neil and Honeywell earned the right to race with the number 1 badge. He has over 30 years of plumbing experience.

The striking red car has a revamped design emphasising the ‘fit a thermostat’ message.

The Fun Cup is an endurance race of four to seven hours, complete with pit stops. Teams vary from two to six drivers in the UK, and strict rules ensure that every team has the same chance of success.

The cars are all identically space-framed chassis with a 130 bhp VW Golf engine or the more environmentally friendly and faster 170 bhp Audi A3 diesel engine, race brakes, 5-speed gearbox and fully adjustable race suspension.
