Gas interlock system includes fan controller

S&S Northern’s Merlin 1400 gas interlock system for commercial kitchens features an integral fan controller, which is said to differentiate it from other systems. The benefits of an integral fan controller include quicker and easier installation and less wiring than for a separate fan and interlock. Less wall space is needed.

For reliability, the system automatically monitors the minimum and maximum electrical current to ensure that the gas solenoid valve will not operate if the fans are not supplying or extracting sufficient air — or if they have overloaded.
