Calorex humidifiers help to protect valuable art

Calorex, humidifier, humidification
Helping to protect valuable exhibits at the Turner Contemporary Galley in Margate, recently visited Stephen Fry and artist Tracey Emin, are Calorex portable humidifiers.

Six portable humidifiers supplied by Calorex Heat Pumps are playing a vital role in protecting valuable exhibits on display at the Turner Contemporary Gallery in Margate. The Century 4 humidifiers can be quickly brought into use to humidify the internal environment that is often dried out by heating systems during the winter months. They are used as a back-up to the in-house system.

Recent headline displays have included selected works of J. M. W. Turner, Rodin’s ‘The kiss’ and the works of contemporary artists such as Tracey Emin. There is also a heavy emphasis on community arts.

Century 4 units can humidify spaces of up to 400 m3 and have a high-output wick that uses capillary action to evaporate moisture, so the water is not heated. They have a 3-speed fan with high-speed boost and virtually silent night-time modes.
