J S Wright to service major residential development in London

JS Wright

J S Wright has secured a contract worth about £5 million to service 546 new homes as part of the second phase of Indescon Court in the Millharbour area of London. The family-friendly development by Galliard Homes is due to open in June 2015 and will also include a 120-bed 3-star hotel, retail space and a business centre — along with a green area and children’s playing area.

The homes will be housed within a main tower of five blocks up to 31 storeys high and a neighbouring 10-storey rotunda building.

The design by Mendick Waring Consultants includes a gas-fired CHP boiler system in a central energy centre. Up to 20% of the development’s energy will come from on-site renewable energy. An LPHW system will distribute heating and hot- and cold-water services to the apartments, hotel and ground-floor commercial units.

J S Wright will also be fitting ventilation, sprinklers, chilled water, above-ground drainage and sanitation throughout the development — along with building controls.
