Mikrofill warms up school boarding house

Mikrofill, boiler, DHW, space heating

One of a growing number of buildings using Mikrofill plant to deliver heating and hot water is the 500-year-old Bromsgrove School. It houses both day and boarding students, a hundred of whom stay in Wendron-Gordon House on the north side of the central green.

A Rapide Extreme 500 l loading cylinder coupled to a pair of Ethos 90 kW wall-mounted stainless-steel condensing boilers provides heating and hot water for the house. The new sealed heating circuit incorporates a Mikrofill pressurisation package.

The equipment was selected by M&E consulting engineers ESDP. The old plant was removed and the new equipment installed by MIH Mechanical Services of Cheltenham.
