Voltage optimiser reduces hotel electricity use by over 20%

Electricity savings of 21.4%, representing nearly £10 000 a year, are being achieved by the Powerstar voltage-optimisation system in a 4-star boutique hotel in London. The Ten Manchester Street Hotel is part of the City & Country Hotel Group and is housed in a distinctive Edwardian building in Marylebone.

CO2 emissions are being reduced by 44.9 t a year, the equivalent of 85 449 kWh.

The design of the Powerstar system means that regardless of the type of load connected, savings are achieved through the negative power created, as it returns excess voltage in terms of real negative power that is deducted from the grid input power.
