G&H checks in for £1.2 m hotel contract in Brixton

G&H Building Services, contractor

G&H Building Services is carrying out the £1.2 million contract for full M&E works for the Premier Inn situated above a row of shops in Brixton’s high street. The work for the 90-bed hotel includes air conditioning, heating and lighting. The contract was awarded by building contractor JJ Rhatigan & Co.

David Davis, pre-construction director with G&H Building Services, said, ‘It involves invasive work which will see us relocating and maintaining services from the shops below that include EE, Shop Direct and New Look — all very busy stores.

‘Limited on-site storage, small delivery areas with restricted access and highly populated areas like this street require great experience, and we have a proven track record of managing successful just-in-time delivery operations.’

UK contracts manager with JJ Rhatigan & Co. said, ‘We have worked regularly with G&H Building Services and once again selected them to manage the M&E works.’
