Following the British Pump Manufacturers Association’s (BPMA) statement on Brexit (see MBS February 2018, News) the Association has joined EURIS – the European Union Relationship and Industrial Strategy advisory body.

EURIS examines and advises on the changing relationship between the UK and the EU for the UK government. Other members include FETA and BEAMA among others.

Steve Schofield, director and CEO of the BPMA, comments: “Through our membership of this advisory body, we can ensure that our members are kept abreast of all developments relating to Brexit and its likely impact on the UK’s engineering sector.”

Also, the BPMA has announced the finalists for the Pump Industry Awards have been revealed. From all the entries and nominations received, the judging panel has shortlisted 34 companies and individuals across seven categories which go through a further stage of public voting to identify the ultimate winners.
