Adiabatic humidification

HygroMatik

HygroMatik’s HDS adiabatic cold-water humidification can be used in new air-handling systems and for refurbishment. The adiabatic introduction of water into the airstream has a very low energy consumption and also provides a free-cooling effect. During the summer, the cooling capacity required can be reduced by up to a third.

Demineralised water is forced through stainless-steel nozzles at 70 bar to be broken down into fine droplets that evaporate quickly into an optimised airstream generated by HydroMatik’s vortex nozzles. Water is absorbed into the air within 900 mm.

The SPS control system regulates relative humidity to within ±1%. The use of demineralised water minimises maintenance requirements by avoiding calcium deposits.
