Kitchen-exhaust air cleaners

Trion

Trion has added three units to its Air Boss range of electronic air cleaners. The range now comprises 11 models with airflows from 1000 to 17 000 m3/h with a pressure drop of just 90 Pa. They can remove fumes and odours in a greater variety of kitchen exhaust applications.

A unit consists of three, four or five combined aluminium ioniser/collector cells with stainless-steel spike ionisers.

Contaminated air is first drawn through a washable pre-filter of metal mesh to trap larger particles. The remaining particles, as small as 0.01 µm, pass into the ionising section and receive an electrical charge. Charged particles are then collected in the next section. A optional disposable charcoal after-filer can be fitted if required.
