Waterwise Technology wins Shard contract

Waterwise Technology has secured the water-treatment contract for the Shard at London Bridge, which, at 310 m high, will be the tallest building in the UK and western Europe. The building is designed as a ‘vertical city’ that includes 54 500 m2 of world-class office space, a collection of residential apartments that will be the highest in the UK, 5-star Shangri-La Hotel with spa and pool and restaurants and viewing galleries with 360° views of London.

Water-treatment equipment to be supplied by Waterwise includes water-softening equipment, water-treatment equipment and sidestream filtration for the cooling towers. The company will also supply three large water purifiers to provide distilled-quality water for cleaning the building facade, preventing any water marks that would otherwise occur.
