Weatherite partners John Lewis in upgrading its London headquarters

Weatherite, contractor

Weatherite Building Services has completed the installation of a new cooling system based on fan-coil units in the London head office of the John Lewis Partnership. The project is part of a continuing long-term programme to upgrade the building services to improve energy efficiency and performance and permit regular access for future maintenance.

The work involved replacing ducted FCUs that were difficult to access. Existing chilled-water services were removed and reconnected to the new units, complete with flexible ducts to new diffusers in a new suspended ceiling. Ciat vertical and horizontal fan-coil units were chosen for performance, reduce noise levels and competitive price.

To avoid disruption, Weatherite worked in the evenings and at weekends.
