Minister visits Airedale

Airedale, air conditioning, chiller, Turbocor

Employment Minister Chris Grayling (left) and local MP Stuart Andrew (right) recently paid a visit to Airedale in Leeds to see the company’s £250 000 air-conditioning and refrigeration training school. They are pictured with managing director Clive Parkman. Airedale currently has 16 apprentices at its Leeds base. During the visit Mr Grayling was keen to outline Government policies to stimulate economic growth through manufacturing and create ‘the right environment for business to grow’.

The training school allows Airedale to provide an extensive programme of training for apprentices and update the skills of its 380 employees in the UK. It also provides air-conditioning and refrigeration courses to third parties, including companies such as BT.

There was also the opportunity to witness the rigorous testing of a high-efficiency air-cooled TurboChill chiller in the semi-anechoic noise test chamber to demonstrate how quiet it is.
