SES wins major contracts

Building-services contractor SES has secured contract wins for its office in the north east of England with a combined value of around £30 million. One project is to provide base-build services for facilities for testing offshore wind turbines with blades up to 100 m. Another project is on behalf of Shepherd Offshore for its tenant Bridon International to create a fully functioning factory and office facility in Wallsend.

For both projects, SES will use offsite modularisation to prefabricate building services using its PRISM site in York.

Steve Joyce, regional director, said, ‘We are thrilled to have won these latest contracts, and it is pleasing to be able to have secured further work on commercial projects in the region. We have significant experience in this area, having worked on large-scale factories for other high-profile clients from which these two contracts benefit
