CentraLine releases latest Coach AX 3.8 software
CentraLine by Honeywell has announced the release of the new Niagara-based Coach AX 3.8 software for the Hawk AX range of integration controllers and the Arena AX supervisor.
Key features include the support of Windows 8 and Windows 2012 Server, scalable vector graphics for mobile smart devices and enhanced security.
Mobile devices help manage both our working and private lives. Tablets and smart phones are increasingly being used to access building-management systems (BMSs) for maintenance and monitoring purposes, with alarming being particularly important for 24 hour call-out support.
Market surveys are also showing consumer interest in having access to their homes using mobile apps to provide remote control of the heating, lighting and air conditioning.
Coach AX 3.8 has enhanced support of mobile devices by incorporating a scalable vector feature that enables graphics to expand and contract, providing a more flexible view of the tablet or smart phone screen.
The application of building-management systems to control large apartment buildings with medium to high-end residential apartments is an ideal application for the new Coach 3.8 software.
The main building services can be controlled and monitored by the Arena AX supervisor while individual apartments can be accessed by the homeowner, either on site or remotely by a smart device.
With cyber security being a continual concern for remotely accessible systems, this new software offers an updated level of LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) protection.
A new password policy has also been incorporated when opening new Niagara stations, and the ‘guest’ user account now has to be licensed.
Additional software features include
M-Bus driver enhancements tested on a wider range of devices and improved documentation.
CentraLine by Honeywell is continually improving its products and software to ensure its Partners and their clients continue to enjoy the latest features and benefits of advanced building control technology.
