Dimming lighting ballast brings added efficiency

Venture Lighting Europe

Three dimming options are key features of the low-wattage Ventronic ballast from Venture Lighting Europe. Switch dimming can reduce power consumption to 50%. Part night provides pre-set dimming to maximise energy savings. Thirdly, WiMAC offers complete compatibility with lighting-management control systems/software for maximum flexibility.

These ballasts have micro-processor control and are compatible with all types of high-pressure-sodium and metal-halide lamps up to 150 W. They also ensure that the frequency of switching does not affect lamp life or cause arc-tube blackening associated with conventional control gear — extending lamp life and improving lumen maintenance.

Optimum electrode temperature is typically reached in 30 to 40 s compares to 2 to 3 min for conventional control gear.
