Mitsubishi team tread the Inca Trail in Peru

Mitsubishi Electric’s heating team has raised over £75 000 for Save the Children with an 8-day sponsored trek to the lost city of the Incas, Machu Picchu, in Peru. Most of the trip was at altitudes of 4600 m, which meant climbing with low oxygen levels. Graham Temple, marketing manager for the heating division, said, ‘We followed parts of the famous Inca Trail, trekking through rugged terrain, high mountain passes and remote valleys to reach the stunning Machu Picchu site.’
The site is on a mountain ridge above Peru’s Urubamba Valley and is one of the most familiar icons of the Inca world.
Graham Temple continues, ‘As we entered through the Sun Gate after a tough 4-day trek, it was well worth it for that view alone. We are delighted to have reached our fund-raising target and want to thank everyone who so generously supported us.’
