JS Wright, contractor

Mechanical-services specialist JS Wright has won a £750 000 contract with Barteak Developments to equip the £9.7 million extra-care scheme at Stanbridge Hall in Banbury for social enterprise Housing 21. The building will retain its iconic 1930s facade and provide 70 self-contained rented and shared-ownership apartments for people over 55. It will also have a shop, restaurant, hair and beauty salon and a £500 000 day centre funded by Oxfordshire County Council. It is due for completion in February 2012.

The project is JS Wright’s first commission from Barteak Developments and its fifth project in less than two years for Housing 21.
